patrimoine génétique is a site-specific work created during the Supermarket Art Fair in Stockholm, Sweden. The art fair took place in a former cruise ship terminal in the port of Stockholm. The building pays homage to Swedish seafaring tradition with historical paintings and ropes around pillar. In a performative installation, a spine was tied around a column using techniques from Japanese Shibari art as a symbol of the country’s backbone and genetic heritage.
